Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a therapeutic method established by the German doctor Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). It is based on the principle “Like cures like” which means that if a substance in large doses can produce morbid symptoms in a healthy person, the same substance in infinitesimal doses can cure such symptoms in a sick person.
The homeopathic medicine uses the innate capacity of the organism to keep itself healthy, to maintain the equilibrium. Stimulating this capacity with homeopathic medicines, we can receive an effective long-lasting therapeutic response, which is triggered by the defence force of the organism itself.
“The physician's high and only mission is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed. … The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of the health, or removal and annihilation of the disease in its whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable, and most harmless way, on easily comprehensible principles.” (Samuel Hahnemann “Organon of Medicine”)
The classical homeopathy is based on the following principles:
1. The law of similars.
The symptoms produced by the medicine must have a maximum possible similarity to the complex of the symptoms of the sick person.
2. Single medicine.
A patient always takes one medicine at a time, not a mixture or a combination of medicines. This allows us to speed up the treatment, efficiently control the course of treatment and change the dose of the medicine when necessary or to prescribe a new medicine when the symptoms change.
3. A minimum dose.
The doses used in homeopathy are extremely small, avoiding the side-effects of large doses and increasing the therapeutic power of the homeopathic medicine.
4. Individual approach.
A homeopathic medicine is chosen for a person as a whole, for a complex of his symptoms and disease manifestations, not for the disease name. Only using the global “holistic” approach, we can cure the cause of the disease.
Homeopathy can successfully treat the following problems (and many others):
1. chronic internal diseases (rheumatic, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, urologic, gastrointestinal, endocrine diseases, e.g. allergies, asthma, fibromyalgia, diabetes, obesity, gastritis, epilepsy, rheumatoid arthritis, etc)
2. acute diseases, which can be treated fast and without side-effects (cystitis, influenza, headaches, etc)
3. skin diseases (eczema, psoriasis, acne, herpes, itch, etc)
4. mental diseases, emotional problems, depressions, anticipation anxiety, etc
5. diseases of children (otitis, enuresis, psychological problems, etc), treatment of children with delay in physical and mental development
6. problems of the men’s health (sexual disfunctions, impotence, weak erection, premature ejaculation, male infertility, prostatitis, HPV, HIV, etc)
7. problems of the women’s health (infertility, disorders of menstruation and menopause, endometriosis, urogenital infections, HPV, HIV, etc), treatment of the women’s problems after the birth of a child (chronic constipation, urinary problems, weight gain, hormonal disorders, etc)
8. consequences of the traumas and operations, even if they happened many years ago, or when after recent operations the state of health did not improve or new problems appeared
9. treatment of the rare diseases, problems which are difficult to diagnose, degenerative diseases (Parkinson, Alzheimer, multiple sclerosis)
10. neutralization of the side-effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy (pains, nausea, debility, etc) and of the side-effects of antibiotics and other chemical medicines
11. palliative treatment for the patients with cancer and other serious diseases
12. treatment of the undiagnosed states when a person does not feel well but the medical tests do not show any deviations (chronic fatigue, unexplainable pains, etc)
13. prophylaxis of diseases, reinforcement of the weak points of the organism before any pathology can appear
The first consultation takes about 30 min - 1 hour, but it can take more in serious cases. When the patient begins the treatment, he/she keeps regular contact with the homeopath (by phone, email, Skype, personally) and informs him about the course of treatment and the change of symptoms. When necessary, the homeopath changes the dose of the medicine or prescribes a new medicine. The regular contact with the patient ensures the fastest possible curative result.
